The first-ever beta version of macOS El Capitan was released on June 8, 2015 in WWDC which was only for developers. And the public beta was released on July 9, 2015. After multiple beta versions were released, on September 30, 2015 which is almost four years, the final version was released for the users on Mac App Store.
